National Leader's Hall of Fame

During a special ceremony on Sunday, at the close of the BSA Centennial Parade in Washington, D.C., nearly 300 Scouts and Scouters were named as recipients of an honor bestowed upon a small contingent of Scouting’s finest living examples of Scouting service and virtue; induction into the National Hall of Leadership.

Nominations were accepted earlier this year during a nationwide campaign for consideration into the Hall of Leadership. More than 7,000 nominations were received; all of which are now a permanent record at the BSA 100th Anniversary archive at the National Scouting Museum. Inductees could be of any age or gender. The only requirement was that they had a profound impact on someone else. Also, only living individuals were eligible for nomination.

At Sunday’s ceremony, one inductee from each Scouting region was acknowledged and given the privilege of representing his or her geographic region and fellow inductees.
