Brooklyn Council, Boy Scouts of America wants to see Brooklyn out in full force this Saturday for the Scouting Day of Service. We will be at the following locations for service- Plum Beach, Marcy Park, McCarrens Park, Highland Park, and Floyd Bennett Field. Hope to see you all out there!
Check out a few funny veggie jokes, for us meat lovers!
Scout Leaders,
Yes it’s that time of year again, time for the Brooklyn Spring Camporee! And though the weather may not feel like Spring at 38 degrees outside, I assure you it’s here. The Camporee theme this year will be Communications, a valuable topic for advancement and learning. Let’s thank the whole Breukelyn Activities Committee for their dedication in putting this together. Let me know if you have any questions, thanks!

Scout Leaders,
Just a reminder that we have the Brooklyn Roundtable coming up on Tuesday, April 13th at the Holy Name of Jesus Church, 245 Prospect Park West at 7:30pm. On the Boy Scout side, this month’s Roundtable features a Forestry section lead by Mr. Tony Pinnavaia. On the Cub Scout side, this month Kathy Keats will be back with us running her always informative and fun Cub Scout program. Additionally, we will have the latest information and registration forms for this year’s Spring Camp-O-Ree, taking place April 30th- May 2nd at Camp Pouch. I hope to see you all at this month’s Roundtable, it’s always a great opportunity to catch up and exchange ideas!
Scout Leaders,
I’m excited to announce the creation of our very own Brooklyn Council Facebook Page! For those of you not familiar with a Facebook Fan Page, it’s a place for Leaders and Scouts to get Event updates, look at pictures from the most recent District Activities, and share their ideas with other volunteers. If you’re already on Facebook, I encourage you to become a Fan of Brooklyn Council, Boy Scouts of America, by following the below link. If you’re not on Facebook yet, I would encourage you to sign up, it’s the most interactive way to share and enhance your Scouting experience on the web! If you have any questions or would like to make suggestions about the content we feature on the Fan Page, email me back at the email address in my signature. Thanks!

Scout Leaders,
Hope you are all doing well as Spring quickly approaches. Just wanted to let you all know about a few opportunities up at Camp Keowa this summer for your Scouts to work up at Camp. Feel free to distribute the attached flier out to your leaders, and any Scouts that might be interested. My contact info is listed on the flier, that’s the best way for them to reach out with questions or to apply for a position.
